Blue Sky is looking for more fosters. If you live within the Twin Cities area of Minnesota and are interested in fostering a dog, please contact me. The success of my program depends on the quality and access of foster care. The average time a dog is in foster is usually about 2 -3 weeks and all expenses are covered by Blue Sky. All dogs are fully vetted before arriving in your home.

Blue Sky Mission

Saving pound dogs is my mission. When I learned that millions of adoptable dogs are euthanized each year in dog pounds, animal control facilities and humane societies across our county, I decided to do something to help. Blue Sky Rescue of Minnesota is a foster based rescue that pulls dogs from these pounds, gives them the highest quality vetting possible, transports them to fosters, assesses them and finally adopts them to qualified prescreened homes. A home visit is required along with a screening application for each adoption. The joy of watching these wonderful dogs heal from a wide variety of abuse and abandonment into happy healthy companion animals is what makes this effort worthwhile. Also the tremendous rescue community that has offered their help and training has given me renewed faith in humanity. Thank you for supporting my rescue. How to adopt a Blue Sky dog

To adopt a Blue Sky dog requires that you fill out a screening application. To have the application sent to you, please email me at cooksark5@aol.com - call 952-212-1008. Once the application is filled out and sent back, it will be reviewed promptly. I believe in responding to your inquiry in a timely manner. If it looks like you would be a good candidate to adopt, then I will set up a home visit. You can meet the dog at that time and I can talk to you more about the care of the dog and whether he or she seems like a good match. If all goes well you can then receive the dog and officially adopt! All dogs come with a collar, leash, food for at least five days, vet records and an adoption form. All dogs are fully vetted and spayed/neutered before they are available for adoption. Thank you for your interest in one of these precious rescued animals.
