Our Mission

WHAT WE DO
Heal, shelter, and care for animals who have nowhere else to turn. Place homeless animals in new, loving homes. Reduce overpopulation of homeless animals by spaying and neutering. The Winona Area Humane Society actively works against breed-specific discrimination. The Society does not and will never discriminate against any animal based on breed, type, color, height, weight, or disability. In its care and disposition of animals, the Society follows all standards prescribed by the Humane Society of the United States.

Donating:
Supplies can be donated whenever our office is open. We do have donation receipts for supplies, so be sure to ask for one if you'd like one. If you'd like to know specifically what kinds of supplies we use, there is a wish list on our website.

Money can be donated via mail, a visit to the office, or online with this link:
winonahumane.org/donate

Volunteering:
For individuals looking to volunteer on a regular basis, the process starts with you filling out and turning in a volunteer application (available at our office or on our website). Training dates and times are set up from there. To volunteer in the office and for cat care you must be at least 18, and to be a dog walker you must be at least 19.
