We are a 501(c) 3,non-profit organization consisting of a small group of dedicated animal lovers, trying to do our part. We are all volunteers. There are no paid positions. We do not have a shelter or a facility. Although many of the dogs we rescue are cared for in good, loving foster homes, many must sit in boarding kennels as they wait for another foster care space to become available.

If you can open your heart and home to help these animals have a home, but can't commit to a forever home that is fine as well, Fostering is a very rewarding feeling and makes you feel good about your self to know you have helped save an animal and give it a wonderful home and love while you have him/her. Lucky Dog will supply you with the food, medical if needed and a crate while you foster and if you fall in love and can't let him/her go. You have that option to then adopt your foster. (It happens-trust me)

Along with most other rescue groups, we believe that there is an enormous problem with pet overpopulation and a severe lack of responsible pet owners. There are simply not enough rescue groups in all of America to save the lives of these countless dogs and cats that need help, but together, we believe WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE.

We spay/neuter all of our rescued dogs and cats. They are provided up to date vaccinations and are tested for heartworm, and if necessary, treatment is provided. The cats are feluk/fiv tested and all animals are dewormed.
