About Us
Not all boxers are suitable for all family situations, and not all families are suited for a boxer. For the lucky few, Boxer Rescue finds them, nurses their minds and bodies, and readies them for a new life.
From its beginning, Northwoods Boxer Club and its members have supported Boxer rescue, organizing a committe of dedicated volunteers to operate a program to "rescue" unwanted homeless Boxers, and find homes for adoptable Boxers in and around Minnesota.
There are many reasons Boxers come to need us. Rescue is a safety net for the lost, neglected and unwanted, as well as Boxers relinquished by their owners due to unexpected hardships.
Adopting one of our Boxers
The first step to adopting a Boxer from Northwoods Boxer Club is to fill out online adoption application.
If there is a particular dog you are interested in, please indicate that on the application.
Please note that we are staffed by volunteers. Our goal is to find the best placement for you and the dog, so please be patient if it takes some time.
Our adoption fee is $250 which is funneled into our medical fund to treat other boxers that come through our program. Each dog that comes to us is seen by a veterinarian, brought up to date on all vacinations, and receives any additional necessary treatment before being re-homed. All of our dogs are microchipped.
