The Story of the Little Blind Puppy

Jones along with his siblings were scheduled to be euthanized in a Kentucky shelter. A Minnesota Pet Rescue group, One Life at a Time , offered to take them into their organization so Jones, his siblings and numerous other animals were loaded on a transport heading to the Twin Cities to meet with different rescue groups. On the way to Minnesota, the van hit a patch of black ice and ran into a guard rail resulting in the two drivers being taken to the hospital and the animals taken to a local home to be vet checked. The drivers were released with minor injuries (thank goodness) and all the animals checked out OK (another thank goodness). The van and numerous crates did not fair so well. Another transport drove down to bring everyone back to their respective homes.

Jones' foster mom noticed that something must be wrong with his eyesight as he tended to bump into things and didn't maneuver the stairs as well as he should have. He was taken to the vet and although everything in his eye looks good, for some reason, he can't see very well. Jones will be taken to an opthamologist to see if anything can be done to save the little sight that he currently has or hopefully improve his vision.

The Dog Perk has teamed up with One Life at a Time and Pleading Paws Pet Rescue to help raise funds for Jones' vet bills.

The Dog Perk's Jitter will (personally) donate $7.00 to Jones' medical expenses for each T-shirt that is purchased and $3.00 for each bracelet that is purchased.

Please help sponsor little Jones and donate to his vet bills by clicking on Jitter and go shopping!

Who We Are

We are a small orginization trying to give these animals another chance for a forever home-and we are focusina on One life at a time. Our adoption process consists of first a extensive phone interview, then if that is a fit we will set up a home visit(required for the bully breeds) if all passes then we have you meet the animal or animals you are interested in.
