Who We Are
We are a municipal animal shelter serving the City of Northfield as the impound station for strays found within city limits. Pets not claimed after 6 business days are adopted by our office and we try to find them homes. We also keep records of people who are missing animals, looking for animals, or have animals they can no longer keep so that we have the best hope of matching animals with people. Sometimes many animals can be found within our walls, at other times, we are happy to say that we have given them all away to good homes! So call or check our website to see what's new!
Adopting a friend
Animals available for adoption can be visited during our office hours, preferably by appointment. Adoption fees cover the cost of Veterinary exam, basic vaccinations, deworming and other routine procedures. Alteration of animals and other services provided by our staff are additional. We are a Veterinary Clinic and also provide emergency and surgical services.

We are open weekdays 8am to 12noon and 1pm to 5pm, Saturdays 9am to 12noon. We are located in Dr. Garlie's Veterinary Clinic in downtown Northfield, on Division Street, just South of Fifth Street, on the West side of the Street. Nearby businesses include Buzz Salon, Grundy's Rueb N' Stein, Golden Records, Willie's Shoe Service, and B & L Pizza. Call with any questions during business hours, and come to see the animals when you're in the neighborhood.
