WHO WE ARE

We are a very small, private, non-profit (501C3) group of volunteers. We are dedicated to helping abandoned, abused, and neglected cats and kittens find loving homes. We also rescue from impound facilities - allowing those on "death row" the opportunity to find a permanent, loving home. We do not impose any time limits on the length of time our "residents" may stay. The majority of our kittens are placed in foster homes, where they get lots of love and learn good socailization skills. Our adults, young and old alike reside at Northbrook Animal Hospital. They have all the amenities... cat trees, cat beds, high perches, and cozy hideaways. Best of all, there is a large window and glass door that allows a great view to watch the world go by.

ADOPTING A CAT OR KITTEN

All of our cats and kittens are tested for Feline Leukemia and for Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV). Any cat or kitten that is 4-5 months of age or older is spayed or neutered and front declawed. Vaccinations are given which include a Rabies shot and a distemper/upper respiratory combo. Kittens receive boosters until they leave our care and venture on to their new homes. All the cats and kittens have a stool sample checked for intestinal parasites. For preventative measures, even our negative samples are dewormed and the positive ones receive the appropriate doses.

Any ill or injured cat or kitten is restored back to health before being put up for adoption. Our adoption fees range from $85.00 - $125.00. Included in the adoption fee for kittens is a spay/neuter deposit, which will be refunded when proof of the surgery has been submitted.

Our cats and kittens are available for adoption through our adoption days held at the Coon Rapids or Maple Grove PetCo locations. Watch for our ads placed in the Minneapolis Star and Tribune. Because we don't have our own building for our rescue kitties to live, visting hours are limited. You are welcome to come - BY APPOINTMENT ONLY!!
