Who We Are
A private-home, no-kill shelter & hospice for ferrets in Hazel Park. We offer Adoptable Ferrets, Foster Program, Sitting Services, Supplies & Goodies (cages, necessities, bedding, toys, etc), Health & Care Information, Hospice/Nursing and Veterinary Referrals. We are Federally registered as a Non-Profit, Charitable Organization (501(c)(3)) and licensed & inspected by the Michigan Department of Agriculture. |

Adopt a Friend If you're new to ferrets, we recommend the book "Ferrets for Dummies" as a great read for the whole family, to help gain an appreciation for what having a ferret in the home will really be like. If you are interested in adopting, the process begins with a visit to our web site to learn more adopting from our shelter and to submit an Adoption Application. |

Please visit our main web site before calling or e-mailing, as many of your initial questions will already be answered in the adoption section, and you must submit and Application to be considered. We do not - under any circumstances - ship our ferrets. We adopt only to Michigan residents who live in the Greater Detroit Metropolitan Area. If you do not live in Southeast Michigan but are interested in adopting a ferret, visit http://www.ferret.org for a list of all the American and Canadian ferret shelters. |

Visit!Motor City Ferrets is located in a private home in Hazel Park. We do not operate a store front or "sell" ferrets. For more information about the shelter, the services we offer or our adoption policies, visit our main web site by clicking on the link below. Of course you are also welcome to visit in person. Check out the Events Calendar on our website for our Open House events, typically held Sundays from 4:00-7:00. As we operate in a private home, all other shelter business is conducted by appointment only! |
