Take My Paw is a foster- only rescue. Lives are saved by people opening their hearts and homes to foster. Take My Paw supplies the material items, and you supply the love. Most of our animals are saved from a kill shelter or from going to Lab Research. To take in an animal and show it what it is like to be loved is truly very rewarding. Think about becoming a Foster. Why should you donate? Your donation of even $5.00 saves lives. Our rescue is all volunteers. We have big hearts and a small pocket book. These animals did not ask to be born or dumped in a kill shelter. They love unconditionally, and so do we. There are always vet bills and care bills in a rescue. Who We Are
Take My Paw Rescue was founded September 19, 2008 by a group of people with very kind hearts who are dedicated to the health and welfare of companion animals.
We are a 501c3 Tax Exempt Non-profit, no-kill rescue, giving all that we can to save as many lives as possible. We are a foster-based rescue who gives all the love and care for these animals until a forever home can be found. All adoption fees and donations go only to the care of the animals. The only compensation we receive is the wet licks and the love found in the animal’s eyes.
Adopting a friend
If you don't see an animal with our group, there are plenty of other rescues and shelters that might have what you are looking for.
Adopting from any Rescue or Shelter saves a life.
Adoption Policy
If you are interested in adopting one of Take My Paw Rescue animals you need to read the following:
You will need a State I.D. We do not adopt out of the state of Michigan
If you rent: Copy of lease stating you can have animals and/or animal deposit stated on your lease.
Please check to see if there are any animal restrictions for your city, township, or county. Certain areas have breed, height and weight restrictions.
Check or Cash only.
You will be asked at the time of meeting the animal to fill out a consultation form.
A Take My Paw representative will review the consultation form and inform you if you are able to adopt the animal or not. Take My Paw representatives foster these animals and know what would be the best home environment for them.
Take My Paw representatives have the right to reject an adoption without prejudice.
