Brittney came into foster care on 3/03/09.
Hello all you good people out there! This is Brittney! My foster mom wanted me to tell you a little bit about myself as she is just SOOO busy taking care of me & my foster brothers.

First let me tell you a little bit of background about me. I was found in the parking lot of a WalMart-only natural seeing as how I am SUCH a bargain! I thought for sure I was going to get lucky & someone would take me home to be theirs forever, but instead I was taken to a shelter. Lucky for me the wonderful people at North Star found me there when they came to see another dog. They knew a bargain when they saw one & before I knew it I was on my way to my foster home.

My digs here are so much nicer than at the shelter. I have my own cozy crate and sleep soundly through the night in it. My foster mom (FM) feeds me in my crate & has taught me to wait patiently to come out of my crate. I got the full beauty treatment upon my arrival here & was good for my bath and nail trimming. I had something called a urinary tract infection when I got here, but it is much better now. FM says I have not had 1 accident in the house since I got here. I have been playing these fun new games with my FM. She says she is teaching me skills, but I know they are really games with funny names. She calls them the name game, come, sit/maintain, the greeting game & leash walking. I like playing the games with my FM, but my favorite thing is to be held & cuddled with. I LOVE PEOPLE!

I am very much a lady in the house & do not chew on things. I like my soft toys, but am not real food motivated. I am still a puppy and sometimes get excited & then can get mouthy. So my FM is teaching me no mouth on skin. I am a very sensitive girl, but am getting more confident every day. There are these weird things here one is called a parrot-he talks too much so I ignore him & horses-they are too big to play with so I ignore them too. There are also other dogs here & I love to play with them! I wrestle my foster brother all the time & can beat him. I also like to play tug with my foster brother over a toy, but do not know how to play with toys by myself yet. I have lots of fun playing outside with my foster siblings. My FM says I would be a great agility prospect. She says I am VERY fast and athletic & can jump 20" straight up in the air.

This place is great, but I really would like to have a family of my very own. If you are looking for someone to cuddle with then I am the girl for you. If you have any questions about me you can email my FM at Brittney's foster mom. If you think I might be the dog you have been looking for and would like to be my forever family-then please fill out an adoption application at
