We are a non-profit 501©3 organization that consist of a small group of all- volunteers that evaluate the temperament and assist in the care of animals that are impounded in shelters.
We do not have a foster care program and currently work closely with the City of Wyandotte Animal Pound to increase their adoption rate. Volunteers have worked diligently to make the public aware of the importance of spaying and neutering pets and coordinate a yearly low cost vaccination clinic available to the public. We strive to keep euthanasia rates low and place as many adoptable animals that reside at the pound as possible.

Pound Pals helps the sick and injured animals that are at the Wyandotte Pound, we can only help when there are funds, if you would like to make a donation you can click on the icon below:
Pound Pals, in affiliation with the Wyandotte Animal Shelter, are offering low-cost spaying and neutering of pets.
The surgeries will be performed at Humane Ohio, a low-cost high-quality spay/neuter clinic in Toledo.
The cost of spaying or neutering is $45 for cats, $65 for dogs, $75 for dogs over 70 pounds (space is very limited for dogs). This price includes a brief physical examination and pain medication. Individuals on government assistance will be charged $25 for cats, $40 for dogs with proof of assistance.
A shuttle will run once per month from the Wyandotte Animal Shelter, 1170 Grove Street, to the clinic.
Animals will be taken for surgery in the early morning and will spend the night at the clinic following their surgery. They will then be transported back to the Wyandotte shelter the next morning. Space is limited.

We are accepting cats/kittens for the transport. Kittens must weigh at least two pounds and 10 weeks old.
