Pug Lady Kingdom has a cash-only policy on adoption fees.
Every canine and feline are spayed/neutered prior to adoption, and all animals ready for adoption are current on vaccinations, have tested negative for heartworm (dogs) and feline leukemia/FIV (feline AIDS) (cats), and have been dewormed.
Adoption fees provide some recuperation of costs associated with providing in-home and necessary veterinary care while the animal is in our program. Oftentimes the standard adoption fee is less than what we've incurred in costs. The benefit of adopting from an organization that provides in-home foster care is that the animal's behavior has been evaluated by their care providers in a natural living environment, rather than the oftentimes unpleasant surroundings of a shelter. PLK foster care providers care for the animals as if they are their own, and learn to know the animal's likes and dislikes, ability to co-exist with other animals, ability to tolerate children, and so forth.
*Fees may occasionally be different than published due to circumstances surrounding individual animals.
ANIMALS WHO URGENTLY NEED YOUR HELP
Most animals in our program need just routine veterinary care - vaccines, heartworm or FIV/Feline Leukemia "combo" tests, deworming, and spay/neutering. Occasionally, though, we become temporary guardians of animals in need of more serious medical help. Our adoption fees, donations, and fund-raisers will usually cover the cost of routine veterinary care for the many animals in our care, but to help the seriously ill or injured animals that make their way to Pug Lady Kingdom, we need additional funds. The stories of these "special needs" animals are described below. If one of their cases tugs strongly at your heart-strings, please considering making a special donation to Pug Lady Kingdom to help them. Please include the name of the animal you are helping, and send your donation to: PO Box 40655, Redford MI 48239
<Thank you, on behalf of these special Pug Lady Kingdom animals!
You can make a donation through your Capital One card, 100% will go to our non-profit rescue. Our DBA name is Paws for Help.
Can't adopt a new pet at this time? How about sponsoring a pet in need of a home?! Sponsors help defray the cost of veterinary care.
As a sponsor, your name will be posted on the animal's adoption page. You'll receive a photo and story of the pet you choose.
