K9 Resque is a 501c3 Non profit Organization. Located in St. Clair Twp, Michigan We are a foster-based animal rescue group dedicated to providing temporary foster homes for dogs that have been left in Kill shelters, surrendered, abandoned, and from Puppy Mills, until we can find them a permanent, loving home. We are a volunteer organization committed to providing each fostered dog a loving, caring, and safe environment. Our organization does not receive local, state or federal funding. We rely solely on adoptions, fundraisers and your private donations to make it possible to do what we do each and every day.

We are not a shelter, we are a rescue that is supported by Foster homes all over Michigan. We treat our rescue dogs like Family.
We are looking for volunteers to help with adoption events, and transporting our dogs to the adoption events and to the local vet. Please contact if you are able to help us.
The adoption fee includes, a Vet Exam, age appropriate Vaccinations, and de-worming. and Altered if possible.
Dog Adoption Fees:: Females are $250.00 and Males are $200.00 Mature Pets will be a lower fee.
K9 Resque Adoption Procedures:
After an adoption application has been submitted for consideration, we will process that application ( this can take up to one week), and home checks are required for adoption. We match families with dogs, IT IS NOT FIRST COME FIRST SERVED.
We will not adopt out pups under the age of 6 months to families with children under the age of 5 years old.
The Board of Directors have agreed upon a new ruling on our adoptions, we will now allow out of state adoptions, as well as Canadian adoptions, with the exception of Hawaii and Alaska. Shipping will not be allowed, any prospective owners will be required to come and meet and pick up the dog in person. We hope that by allowing these adoptions. It will help to find more homes for the dogs that we have rescued, thus allowing us to save even more dogs in the future.
