Our Featured Pet... Woody!
"Woody" aka "Wookie", is a 7ish blue and gold macaw. He came from a very neglectful home and became a very neurotic guy. Biting his foot and severely plucking his feathers are symptomatic of his neglect. He is currently being treated by a vet for his plucking and we are seeing some positive results! AKA baby pin feathers!!! He is a very sweet bird once he gets to know you and would be totally happy sitting on your chest or snuggled on your shoulder. He's a super bird who really needs an owner with time, patience. You still must have large bird experience to adopt Wookie.

JADE has been adopted!!!! There were a lot of applicants for Jade, and we really had to weed out situations that just weren't right for her. And it has so paid off because she apparently was waiting for Claudine. Jade really seemed to hit it off with her in the intitial visit, (and so did Xander!) and we think they will be great companions. Claudine made sure she did plenty of research, asked great questions, and is very comitted to being a great bird mom. Congratulations to Jade and to Claudine!
Who We Are
PSR is a small non profit parrot rescue in Battle Creek, MI. We are dedicated to the well being, and safety of companion parrots. At PSR, we rescue parrots naughty or nice, give them a forever home with our flock or find them a forever home depending on the needs of each individual bird.
Adopting a friend
You must have an APPROVED - application to adopt from us. Simply, email for an application, copy and paste to a new email and complete. We require a veterinary reference stating you give your pets yearly veterinary care, and a home visit prior to adoption. This is why we adopt to MICHIGAN homes only. Once the home visit is complete, the adoption fee is paid and you can take your new friend home!
