Who We Are
We're a small home rescue based in Ann Arbor. We began with our soft hearts and an inability to refuse an animal in need. We are completely not-for-profit, though currently still seeking official 403(c) non-profit status. Due to current space restrictions, we're limited primarily to small pets for the time being.
Adopting a Friend
We try to keep the adoption process as fast and easy as possible and still assure the best matches between pets and people.
The first step is to e-mail us for an application.
We have no strict criteria to meet, just a general idea of what would be best for a given animal. Once that's done, we can schedule an opportunity for you to meet the pet.
Our adoption fees vary somewhat between animals, dependent on our costs, but our basic fees are:
Dogs - $150
Cats - $100 (Discounts sometimes available if you can adopt two!)
Fees for most dogs and cats include spay/neuter, all vaccinations, heartworm or FIV/FeLV testing, and deworming/defleaing, as well as a take-home packet to get you started.
Rats - $10 (More if spayed/neutered, discounts available on same-sex groups)
Mice, Hamsters and Gerbils - $5 (Discounts available on same-sex groups)
Rabbits, Guinea Pigs, Exotics & Others - Fee depends on animal.
Surrendering a Pet
Currently we are unable to accept dogs and cats, however feel free to contact us to see if we can possibly be of any help in finding your animal a home. We may be able to put you in touch with someone looking for a pet just like yours, or a rescue who has more room than we do.
We do have limited space for small pets (rats, mice, hamsters, gerbils etc.). If your pet needs our help finding a home, drop us a line and maybe we can help. Donations of cages and supplies are welcome, but not necessary.
