We currently only have a small number of dogs in our program right now. We are evaluating several candidates. It may be a few weeks before they will be listed. You can see plenty of dogs in need of a loving home at the Mt. Pleasant/Isabella County Animal Shelter's website. or at their Petfinder page.

We have adopted a few new policies as of lately. We are going to be EXTREMELY picky on owner surrender intakes. We have had a few people lie to us about their dogs and will only agree to take on a dog whom we have been able to meet and interact with...and one where the ALL of the past vet paperwork is in order. If you do not have that, then please, do not call us.
Also, we will be re-focusing on Michigan dogs in need. We will still continue to take on Katrina affected dogs and puppies in a limited fashion and only from a few specific rescueres we have a relationship with. Otherwise, we will not be specifically looking to help bail out southern shelters.
Who We Are
We are a small group of people that are passionate about the Labrador Retriever. We will work tirelessly to try and make a difference to homeless and forgotten Labs, one dog at a time.
While we are based in Mount Pleasant, Michigan, we work with our fellow rescuer friends nation-wide through the power of the internet, referrals and phone calls. We will try and place dogs where there are willing people to home these greatful dogs.
As we are in the process of our 501(c)(3) filing, we are working basically off of a shoe string budget, mostly out of personal bank account costs.
Adopting a friend
We require that interested adoptors fill out our application and submit to a home visit by one of our volunteers. Once your application is approved, we will work toward getting you the dog that you are interested in! A final adoption contract will be signed off on by both parties. There is a fee schedule layed out on our website. All of our dogs are vetted, altered and healthy prior to adoption into a home.
