Our Featured Pet...

Mr. Z is a beautiful cat with the most striking eyes and pretty markings. Approximately 3-years-old. He has a lot of personality and likes to talk to you. His voice is soft, so it's not annoying. He enjoys playing and sometimes acts as if he has imaginary friends. He even talks and growls at his imaginary friends. Good with dogs. He adjusted quickly to his foster home. He recently stayed in my foster home for observation. He adjusted after a couple of days (quit hiding under the couch.) He was a real joy to have in my home! What a sweetie! He does get along with other cats just as long as they have a dominate personality. He picks on cats that will not stick up for themselves. He is so much company. He likes to follow you around, talking and seeking affection. For the most part he's a mellow fellow. He's very loving and makes a great companion. Mr. Z is neutered, tested for Feline Luk/FIV and uses the cat litter like a champ.

Who We Are:

Companion Cats is the adoption arm of Alley Cat Angels, a non-profit 501(c)3 Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) organization. TNR is a full management plan in which stray and feral (wild) cats already living outdoors in cities, towns, and rural areas are humanely trapped, then evaluated, vaccinated, and sterilized by veterinarians. Healthy adult cats too wild to be adopted are returned to their familiar habitat under the lifelong care of volunteer caregivers (caregivers provide on-going care, shelter, food, supervision, and medical treatment.) As they work tirelessly to Trap-Neuter-Return feral cat colonies in Calhoun County, they inevitably come across an assortment of young litters of kittens or friendly adult cats who—unlike their feral counterparts—would happily thrive as pet cats in a human home. Kittens and tame cats (who have joined a colony due to abandonment) are spayed/neutered, then placed into foster home until they are adopted into good homes. This is where our group comes into play.

Companion Cats' Wish List:

Our organization is in need of cat and kitten food (both dry and canned), scoopable kitty litter, pet carriers, laundry soap, towels, small rugs, pet stain/oder removers, strong garbage bags, paper towels, and monetary donations for health/medical care. We'd love some Kitty Condos for our foster homes as well. Our greatest need is vaccinations. We order our vaccinations through "Doctors Foster and Smith". The price is very reasonable and we are supporting a local business, Pfizer. You can help provide vaccinations by donating a gift certificate:
