Great Lakes Golden Retriever Rescue is a Michigan nonprofit corporation. GLGRR is run solely by volunteers who are dedicated to helping Goldens find safe, loving homes. We rescue Goldens from shelters, animal control facilities, and often times owners. We provide foster care for each dog until a permanent home can be found.
Each Golden is spayed/neutered, vaccinated, heartworm tested and put on preventative or treated if positive, parasite free, and temperament tested prior to adoption.
An adoption fee of $300 is required for all of our Goldens that are between the age of 8 weeks and 6 months. Goldens 7 months through 7 years have an adoption fee of $250. Goldens 8 years and over require an adoption fee of $100. All applicants must complete an adoption application and talk with one of our volunteers. If approved, a GLGRR volunteer will assist the applicant in adopting a Golden that will fit nicely into the applicant’s home.
