Woodhaven & Trenton Animal Shelter

The Woodhaven & Trenton Animal Shelter are funded by the Cities of Woodhaven and Trenton. The shelter relies greatly on donations from generous people in the local communities. The Animal Shelter and Animal Control Officers provides many services for the residents of Woodhaven and Trenton. Services are: pet adoptions, owner surrenders, trapping strays or nuisance animals, volunteering, fundraising and adoption events, educating residents in keeping healthy and happy pets, enforcing all animal related laws, pet food for residents in need and a yearly shot clinic.
Volunteering
The Animal Shelter is in need of volunteers. Volunteers are needed for helping out in the Animal Shelter and for Fundraising. Adoption Fees

If you would like to adopt a pet featured on this site, contact the Woodhaven & Trenton Animal Shelter. Adoption fees are as follows:

****Dogs and Cats****

**Dogs**

  • $100.00 base adoption fee. This includes the animals shots, health information and if able, the animal will be spayed or neutered.
  • $50.00 fee is charged if the animal is not able to be spayed/neutered at the time of adoption. This fee is returned when you get the animal spayed or neutered.

**Cats**

  • $100.00 base adoption fee. This includes the animals shots, health information and if able, the animal will be spayed or neutered.
  • $50.00 adoption fee is charged if the animal is not able to be spayed/neutered at the time of adoption. This fee is returned when you get the animal spayed or neutered If you would like to visit the Woodhaven & Trenton Animal Shelter to adopt a pet, Call 734-675-4956. Animal Shelter Open Volunteer Hours are: Tuesday thru Thursday 8:00 am to 3:00 am. Animal Control Officer Office Hours are: Monday thru Friday 8:00am - 9:00am, 2:00pm - 3:00pm and 5:00pm - 6:00pm The Animal Shelter and Animal Control are closed all weekends and holidays.

    The shelter is located on Van Horn Road in Woodhaven. The building is located just before Hall Road on the North Side, right next to the DPS Garage.
