Adopting a friend
The animals that we get into the shelter stay 5 days prior to being put up for adoption. Most of the animals we receive have no previous history prior to impound. Downriver Central Animal Control Officers do their best to observe each animal's temperament before it is put up for adoption. It is our desire to see that every adoptable pet finds a good home. However, our space is very limited, and sometimes it is necessary to humanely euthanize. Please hurry if you are interested in adopting one of our pets. And remember to spay or neuter your pets because EVERY animal deserves a loving, permanent home!!!
Please Read: The Downriver Central Animal Control Agency cannot guarantee the breed, age, personality, or temperament of an animal. What is listed is how the animal acts at the shelter and may change when entering a new home.
