Pebbles is an awesome girl. She loves to play ball and will sit and watch the ball until you throw it for her. Then she seeks/retrieves/and brings it back and drops it at your feet for the next throw. If you have time to give this girl a lot of play time and attention she won't disappoint you. She is still a puppy and will need great leadership and training, but she is definately worth the effort. Pebbles is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and heartworm free. Please contact the shelter if you would like to set up an appointment to visit with this awesome girl.
Autumn is a beautful tortie with a very quiet personality. She is a shy girl who does best with other shy cats and kittens. She looks for a quiet area to spend most of her day. Autumn will sit on your lap and loves to be brushed and petted. Like all of our animals Autumn is vaccinated, FeLuK/FIV negative and ready for a new home. If you would like to visit with Autumn please give us a call to set up an appointment.
FMAR is proud to feature a few of our adoptable pets at Petco in Westland on the third Saturday of each month.

Please continue to come back and see what we have available. You are also welcome to make an appointment to visit the shelter to see what we have coming in the future.

Lunch was a great time to unwind and think about what else needed to be done. Thank you to all of our awesome volunteers for your support and exhausting work. We really appreaciate all of you. May 3, 2008- Friends of Michigan Animals Rescue would like to thank everyone who helped make our first annual dinner/auction fundraiser such a huge success. Sumpter Township was gracious enough to donate the PNA Hall for the event, and our wonderful creative team of volunteers brought it all together. We had over 70 gift baskets beautifully displayed and color coded with a program created by Kenn Sheats and printed by Johnston's Lithograph to help guide your shopping experience. There was everything from trips, shopping, dining, relaxing, pampering, recreation, and gardening, all donated to us by local and chain corporations making it a night we will all remember. The tickets were sold out almost immediately with a waiting list of people who wanted to join us. It felt festive and inviting, and packed with fun. We could tell by the comments and atmosphere in the room that everyone who attended had a great time. Dawnshire Band donated their time as well and entertained all of us with great dance music. Jim Ackron of the Belleville Green House and Nursery donated flowers for every table and a will be donating a beautiful flowering tree that FMAR will plant in honor of Sumpter Township's support to FMAR. Arrow Designs donated a beautiful plaque and tree marker that we presented to Sumpter Township along with a picture of the tree. Becky Irla and her mom Gloria Irla-Marlow spent the night behind the bar making sure no one was thirsty while Rose Catering served a Mexican feast, fiesta style. The deserts were all made and donated by our committee and team of volunteers as well. Dave (Doc) McPherson did a fantastic job of keeping things moving and organized. The money raised with this event will go a long way to helping FMAR grow in our community. It was by far our biggest fundraiser to date and we appreciate everyone's support and attendance. Please visit our website www.fmar1.org for upcoming and future events hosted by FMAR and our supporters. Together we can all make a difference in our community as we work together to create a healthy and safe environment for all!
