We are starting a new “sponsored pet” adoption program. Thanks to the local community and business owners, a” sponsored pet” can be adopted at a reduced adoption fee. A sponsored pet is a pet that came into the shelter, and a very kind person and /or business has donated half of the adoption fee.

The Springlake Animal Shelter is 35 years old in 2008.
Adopting a friend
Adoption of a pet from the Springlake Animal Shelter is a simple and easy process. It generally requires one visit to the shelter. Depending on the animal(s) you are interested in, we may suggest that you bring members of your household to meet and interact with the animal(s). On the first visit you will:
- select the animal(s) in which you are interested
- complete an adoption application form
- receive any information available concerning the chosen animal(s)
- sign an adoption contract which will require you to have the animal(s) spayed or neutuerd
- pay an adoption fee
and lastly, take the newest member of your family home!
Fees:
Cats and Dogs that arrive at the shelter already spayed or neutered cost $70. The money is used for our Shelter Spay/Neuter Program in hopes that one day all animals adopted from our shelter will be spayed or neutered before leaving our facility.
Adult Cats not spayed or neutered: $70.00 (Price includes $50 certificate for spay or neuter.)
Kittens under 6 months: $90.00 (Price includes $70 certificate for spay or neuter.)
Adult Dogs not spayed or neutered: $70.00 (Price includes $60 certificate for spay or neuter.)
Adult Dogs the shelter pays to spay or neuter: Price is equal to the cost of spay or neutered sugery. This price will vary by weight.
Puppies under 6 months $100.00 (Price includes $90 certificate for spay or neuter.)
