The Alcona Humane Society is organized for the non-profitable purpose of preventing cruelty to animals, including activities that further such purpose, such as finding good homes for homeless animals, returning lost animals to their owners, educating people about the humane treatment of animals, reducing companion animal overpopulation, and relieving animal suffering.
Adopting a friend
All of our animals are available for adoption to qualified responsible pet owners only. We may refuse an adoption for any reason. We do our absolute best to match the right pet with the right person or family. We are committed to finding forever homes for all of our special pets. The adoption fee for all of our animals is $20.00. An additonal $50.00 deposit is required for unaltered animals, which is refunded to the adopter after sterilization is completed in the time frame specified in the adoption contract. Every animal is vaccinated and prophylactically treated for parasites upon entering the shelter.
