Mid Michigan's Kitty Rescue

Our Pet List

HELP NEEDED
Need Foster Homes ASAP,we are unable to take anymore felines till we are able to get more fosters.

NOTICE TO ALL FAMILIES TRYING TO ADOPT A FELINE FROM MMKR: We receive Felines from all over Central Michigan. Before we take custody of the Feline(s), if possible we get as much information about the Feline(s) as we can. Breeds in particular, is a problem area, since we have so little information to go on when we receive the Feline, so the percentage of the breed is most times not reported to MMKR, and very hard to tell.

Many felines will go to kill shelters since we dont have enough foster homes to bealbe to take them in. If you can't foster then maybe you can be an angle to one kitten and help with medical bills etc. PLEASE HELP SAVE A LIFE

Who we are

Mid Michigan’s Kitty Rescue is an all-volunteer organization and relies completely on adoption fees and donations.

Our mission is to educate the public on the importance of spaying and neutering, to serve as a rescue for homeless cats and kittens, placing them in safe, permanent homes. Mid Michigan’s Kitty Rescue does NOT euthanize except in the rare cases where a cat is injured, ill or has a behavioral problem that makes relocation to a permanent home impossible. Mid Michigan’s Kitty Rescue also WILL NOT sell cats to research facilities. All cats taken into our program receive a thorough medical exam, all vaccinations up to date. Because most rescued cats have had poor care and many have been mistreated, it is not uncommon for a rescue to come with "emotional baggage". For that reason, each applicant is carefully screened to guarantee that we find the perfect family for each rescued or surrendered cat or kitten and we find you the perfect companion.
