The Isabella County Animal Shelter is FULL. We need your help to come and find your next best friend.
Who We Are
The mission of the Isabella County Animal Control is to serve and ensure safety to the Community to the best of our ability. To enforce all County Ordinances, State and Federal Laws. To house and humanely care for all animals until claimed, adopted, or provide the most compassionate and humane means of euthanasia.
Adopting a friend
If you are interested in adopting one of our animals, you will need a drivers license. NOTICE! Adoption prices have changed.
All animals will be spayed or neutered prior to adoption. There are new adoption prices. All dogs are $150. This includes license($6), rabies vaccine($10), county fee($15), HATS fee for medical charges that include spay/neuter, heart worm test, vaccinations($109) and microchip($10).
Puppies(under 14 weeks) are $144. Same charges apply except license and rabies vacc. They will also be spayed/neutered.
Cats and kittens are $70. This includes county fee($10), feline leukemia test, vaccinations and spay and neuter ($60).
Animals have a new start with you and all the medical things will be done and you won't have to worry about vaccinations for a year and no unwanted puppies and kittens. It really is a good deal, try to get all that done for that price. Keep in mind, that even though the dogs and cats get vaccinated and HATS (Humane Animal Treatment Society) works very hard to care for dogs and cats at the shelter, there are no guarantees. There may be health conditions that are not apparant and could not be forseen. There may be some risk but it's still worth it to adopt and make a difference in the life of an unwanted pet.
When you call about an animal, remember that things change quickly. Describe the animal, including a name (if it has one) and the kennel number. If the animal you want is no longer available, please ask about any new animals that may not be posted yet!
