Our shelter is always in need of donations. The most heavily needed item is cash donations to provide veterinary care and spaying and neutering of the shelter animals. We also need Pedigree dry & canned dog food. It very much helps the health of the animals if we keep them on one consistent diet and Pedigree seems to be the best option for both cost and nutrition. Towels, blankets, bleach, Pinesol, and paper towels are just a few additional donation items we can always utilize. We also accept Spartan Food UPC labels which are collected by the non-profit group Kalkaska Citizens for Animals to help raise funds for additional spaying and neutering of the shelter animals.
Kalkaska Citizens for Animals pays for many of our animals to be spayed or neutered before being adopted, saving you the cost of having it done and also keeping you from paying the spay/neuter deposit. Please take a moment to visit their site. www.kcacares.org
