THE BUSTER FOUNDATION has started it's own web page were you can go to meet many more of the fur kids, some will stay listed here until new forever homes are found. The new page is www.petfinder.org/shelters/MI453.html Joanie knows that my life has been very hectic since the death of my son in August 2004. He was killed supporting our freedoms in Operation Iraqi Freedom. At present I am not taking in any more rescues as I need to spend time with my family and myself. I love my rescue work and in the future will continue on with what I do. I am always available if you have questions and would be more then happy to place courtesy listings for those unable to do so. DONATIONS

We can always use donations of the following; Towels, Blankets, Crates (new or used in good shape), Dog and Cat toys, Dog treats. Remember all donations are tax deductible. We would be happy to pick any items up. Cash donations are tax deductable and can be sent to The Buster Foundation, 523 Barrington Rd., Grosse Point Park, MI 48230. Volunteers are always welcome and needed. Please contact us if you wish to help in any way.

ARO-ANIMAL RESCUE ORGANIZATION NOW THE BUSTER FOUNDATION

ARO is now operating under The Buster Foundation. We have been joined in our rescue efforts by a group that rescues and places primarily Pit Bulls and Pit Bull mixes. ARO-Animal Rescue Organization has been operating by word of mouth for approximately the last 5 years. Due to an increase in need for forever homes for these Pitty babies we are helping out with the computer work. Please note which resource has these animals available and contact the appropriate group. I can accept e-mails for all but may not have all the information on ARO's dogs. ARO does have some different requirements then Critters with Paws and Claws. Joanie can be contacted at (734) 697-1564. Her e-mail is itsthepitshere@yahoo.com. Joanie currently houses three of her own Pit Bulls as well as her rescue kids. Due to a lack of understanding with the Bully breeds it is difficult to find foster and permanent placement for these dogs. Please contact us if you are interested in more information on the breeds and the rescue. They are wonderful dogs and in the right homes will love you unconditionally. ARO is now working closely with the Buster Foundation. ARO and the Buster Foundation policies are one in the same.

THE BUSTER FOUNDATION

The Buster Foundation is a 501(c) non-profit organization that specializes in the education and welfare of the Pit Bull and Bully breeds. They have been kind enough to set up our adoption day as well as help in supporting the dogs. A special thanks to Penny and Ken for knowing this is a truly wonderfully breed and the financial efforts they have put forth. Also the emotional support that has gone a long way. Stay tuned for the latest and greatest that The Buster Foundation has to offer.

CRITTERS WITH PAWS AND CLAWS

Critters with Paws and Claws Rescue was started due to my love of animals. I have worked in Veterinary medicine for 14 plus years and have housed and placed many dogs and cats. I have worked with special needs and hard to place dogs as well as hand raising the occasional orphan. I know there is never a way to save them all but I help where I can. My own animals help with the socialization and learning a pets personality. Everyone learns to get along. I love what I do and the support of others and the wonderful new homes I have found make it all worth while.

ADOPTING A FRIEND

We have a questionnaire and application that must be filled out by interested adopters. Adoption/donation fees are increasing due to the increase in costs of vet care. As of July 1, 2004 adoption fees for The Buster Foundation dogs will be $250. This is a tax deductible donation as the Buster Foundation is 501 3(c) non profit. This cost includes spaying/neutering. All pets are current on vaccinations, heartworm tested and on preventative and de-wormed as well as micro-chipped. Critters with Paws and Claws adoption fee will remain $200. This fee also includes spaying/neutering, current vaccinations, de-worming and currrent heartwom tests and on preventative. Cats are all Felv/FIV tested and current on vaccinations as well as spayed/neutered. Cat adoption fees are $150. Please contact us if you are interested in any of our fur kids. :
