Please Do Not Apply if you are not certain you are ready to adopt. The time and money spent to approve an application is better spent on our rescues. We work with a number of rescue groups and try hard to make the best possibles placements for our rescues. While you might fall in love with a fur kids picture that doesn't mean that you are a match for their activity level or personality. We are selective in placing our fur kids because we work for them. Finding the right family for them is our goal.
Our Mission
Diamond Springs Boxer Rescue is a private, volunteer, organization. We are dedicated to the rescue of unwanted, neglected, abused, and
abandoned Boxers from shelters, as strays, or from owners who need to give
up their Fur Kid due to changing life circumstances such as: relocation,
financial hardship, divorce, illness, or death. We provide food, shelter,
medical attention, and TLC during their wait for the "RIGHT" forever home.
We are committed to forming an alliance with others who do rescue in
Michigan and the surrounding areas to provide better access to fur kids in
need and potential applicants. We can't save every Fur Kid but we can make a
difference...one Fur Kid at a time!
How we got started
We started Diamond Springs Boxer Rescue in January, 2001 as a named
organization, however, our interest in rescue work began many years ago when
we visited the local humane society and adopted a little Blue Healer girl
that we named Tilly. Not restricted to Boxers at the time, we took in any
animal needing our help. Over time, however, we were asked by a friend if we
would like to adopt a white Boxer, and that was all it took for us to fall in
love with the breed. His smushed-up little face and boxer antics stole our
hearts. His immense loyalty has sparked in us a devotion to the breed that
continues to grow stronger every day. After a few adoptions of our own we
are running out of couch space so we decided to go into Boxer Rescue
full-time to help fur kids in need find great forever homes.
Adopting a Friend
To be able to adopt a boxer kid you must first fill out an application and
be approved, this process will also include a home visit by a rescue
volunteer. Once you have been approved, we will work to place the best fur
kid for your situation and wants. We usually have more or know of other
boxers than may be on this site so try not to get impatient, this process
works, really!
We spay and neuter before any of our fur kids are available. Please Do Not apply if you are not willing to spay and neuter any pet that you may already have in your home.
Anyone actively involved in the breeding of Any breed will not be approved for adoption. NO Exception.
