We use Alphadog transport (www.alphadogtransport.com), a USDA approved transport service for animals. They are amazing people doing an amazing job.
Who We Are
We are two volunteers who work in coordination with experienced and devoted Rescuers from TN, AR, MO, and MS to help facilitate successful adoptions for dogs needing great homes in New England and Nova Scotia. We are not a physical shelter, however, we do have available kennel space and as-needed foster homes when the situation calls for it. We also run some transport pick ups from either Windham, NH or Nashua, NH to Greater Portland, ME destinations.
Canine Commitment operates out of Gorham, ME (on a laptop in the kitchen with three young kids and two mutts underfoot!) and Canine Commitment-NH is in Bedford, NH with Ross, her two sweet young children and three rescued dogs. We are two women, educated and professionals, and who are simply and unabashedly nuts about rescue dogs!
Adopting a friend
Our process includes an application with references, reference checks, a home visit for dogs coming from Pickett Paws in TN (per their policy), and collection of adoption/transport fees which range from $275 -$310.00
All the dogs we sponsor or courtesy post arrive with Vet paperwork, legal travel papers, and an earned health certificate.
