Who We Are
We are a group of individuals who are dedicated to rescuing domestic
animals who have been abandoned, abused, neglected or left behind by their
former owners. Our belief is that animals are sentient beings who are not
merely "pets" but family members and strive to find them homes who share
this view. We are committed to providing them with a temporary home where
they receive veterinary care, socialization, excercise, love and good
nutrition until their forever home can be found. Our goal is to find
successful placements so we strive to fit the breed,temperament and
individual needs of the animals with their potential adopters. Animals
will be kept with us for as long as it takes to find the perfect home for
them. Our group does not discriminate against animals based on breed or
physical disability.
All animals are vaccinated,microchipped, spayed/neutered, heartworm tested
and de-wormed prior to adoption. The adoption fee for dogs is 250.00. An adoption application must be filled out before meeting the animal you wish to adopt.
Adopting a friend
We do home checks, reference checks and
vet checks prior to adoption. We require that all family members come to
meet the animal they are interested in after their application is
approved. We reserve the right to turn down any applicants who do not meet
our criteria or whom we feel will not be the best match for the animal.
Please understand that it may take up to a week before the process is
completed.
If you are interested in adopting a dog please go to the adoption application on our web site,
copy it, answer the questions and send it in an e-mail. We cannot call back or
respond to all applicants. If you do not hear back from us within a week
then the dog is not available or your application has not been approved.
We never adopt out unaltered dogs under any circumstances. Dogs cannot be
viewed until an adoption application has been approved. We do not have a
traditional shelter as all animals are in foster home; therefore, visiting
dogs are by appointment only. Proof of home ownership or lease along with
landlord phone number is required prior to adoption. We also require that
all family members, including otrher dogs, come to meet the animal you are
interested in. We reserve the right to decline any applicant we feel
cannot be the best provider for the needs of the animal. We often require
home visits prior to adoption so we will not adopt out past a certain
distance. Our goal is to ensure the best possible match for the animals.
