About Safe Haven:Safe Haven is a no-kill, all-volunteer 501(c)3 non-profit organization, dedicated to finding solutions to the pet overpopulation problem in southern York County, Maine.We're a "virtual" shelter. Because we have no "bricks and mortar" facility, or the high overhead associated with one, every dime of your tax-deductible donation goes directly to the animals' rescue, care and adoption. All our animals are cared for by our unpaid volunteers, in their homes, where they receive the love and attention they deserve. It's a rewarding experience to know you're helping a scared, sick and/or frightened animal by personally giving it the shelter, love and care it needs, until its permanent home can be found. Will you help? Safe Haven needs more foster homes for the many cats that need temporary housing until their forever home can be found. All you need is a little extra room and a little extra love.
