Tall Tails Beagle Rescue works to find homes for unwanted Beagles, Beagle mixes and occasionally deserving pups of other breeds that are in need of rescuing (we call them "honorary Beagles!)
Beagles are a member of the scent hound group. They vary between 13 and 15 inches at the shoulder and usually weigh between 20 and 30 pounds. They possess a short coat and are easily groomed. Beagles often live to 15 years.
Our rescue dogs have all been examined by a veterinarian, brought up to date on their shots, spayed or neutered and have had their temperament checked.
We are a small, privately run non-profit organization. As a result, we receive no county, state, or federal funding to assist with our rescue efforts. We are dependent on those who share our mission and believe in what we do. We believe that every dog that enters our doors deserves love and care, regardless of their physical condition.
We work hard to get them on their way to becoming healthy, happy, and headed for their forever homes. Please help us to help them.

Currently Tall Tails Beagle Rescue is in desperate need of Foster Homes. Fostering a dog is a great way to help that does not cost a dime. You provide the love, exercise and daily care - we take care of the rest. Fostering is also a great way to see how a dog fits into your home before making a lifetime commitment. Our foster homes have first option to adopt the dogs in their care. If you are interested in fostering, please email chabbe@aol.com.
Once we have received an adoption application, we welcome prospective adoptive families to visit the dog(s) of interest. This helps to ensure a good match between dog and adoptive family. Most of our rescue dogs are kept on site in our rescue kennel - although some may be fostered in private homes.
