We are a small group of individuals united behind the love of Goldens. We have dedicated a large portion of our lives to rescuing and placing in forever homes the displaced and unwanted. We will take in almost any Golden (we will also work with certain other breeds) in need with the exception of dogs that are people aggressive and known biters. We will not discriminate due to age or health issues as long as the health issue is one that can be resolved with proper vet care. We strive to match each dog to it’s “perfect” home. A lot of time, effort and thought goes into each adoption with permanent placement as our goal. Happy dogs in happy homes are our reward. If you have a Golden the you need to surrender or another breed that needs placement, please call us and we will make every effort to be of assistance.
WHAT WE NEED:
We do not have a physical shelter, all of our dogs are in foster care in private homes. We always are in need of caring foster homes to help our dogs make the transition from unwanted to loved. It is one of the most rewarding things an dog lover will ever do. If you would like to learn more about fostering or you would like to foster please contact us and we will be happy to tell you more.
Our rescued dogs first visit the vet to determine age and then they will be tested for any health concerns. When the dog is readied for adoption we spay or neuter, do all vaccines, Bordatella, Lyme and Heartworm test, wellness exam, dental checks and fecal exams. The rescued dog is then placed with a foster family who will assess the temperament of the dog, work on socialization and learn what home would best suit each dog.
When a dog is adopted they will visit the vet one more time for their last wellness and fecal.

If you see any dog in our list that might interest you, we invite you to email us and we will send you an application to adopt.
Our adoption process involves an adoption fee, an application, vet reference, phone interview and if possible a home visit and an adoption contract which must be signed.
This includes:
Adoption fee- this donation to the rescue funds the care of the dog you are adopting, as well as other dogs in our rescue. The fee is usually $450 but that can vary due to age, breed and medical condition of the dog. We will require that you take your new dog to your vet within the first few business day for a well check.
