We have some beautiful dogs and cats that need good homes. They all have their own unique personalities and behaviors. They all want homes and are looking for the right person to love them.

*ANNOUNCEMENTS*
We are trying to build a addition, So that we can have more room for the animals and make a medical room to do low cost spay and neuter. We have half the money we need 2,500 more if you want to help call the shelter for details
Our prices have changed do to new state mandates. Cats are now $80 and Dogs are now $150. Both of these prices include a deposit insuring that the animal will be fixed.
PLEASE never approach a stray or injured animal. They can be dangerous. If you find one please call your local police or animal control officer. Sick, injured, and stray animals can get frightened easily. If you try to tame one or pick one up you are putting yourself and your loved ones at risk.
Please do not go into the fenced part without an employee. This area is for the animals to exercise in and for them to have one on one time with the employees. Thank you for your cooperation.
September 12th Come join us for an adoption event at Alice & Company on Madison Ave in Skowhegan. We will be there from 10 to 2 pm. Please Bring a donation or adopt an animal!
We have a free to a good home board for the towns that are contracted with our shelter. These animals do not cost any money and they do not get any of the extras that come with pets adopted from us. Each week a pet (or pets) will be listed in this section to help it find a home. The only way to find out more information on these animals is to call their contact number. The Shelter does not have them nor does it know all the details about the animals.
Everyone that has donated to our auction
A special thank you goes to Eric Prices and Sandy for all your help with the animals.
We are always in need of volunteers! If you would like to volunteer for us, whether it be helping out at the shelter or doing a fundraiser, please e-mail or call the shelter for more information.

We are a little non-profit animal shelter in rural Maine. We are dedicated to finding these loving animals their forever homes. We also educate the importance of responsible pet ownership like spay/neutering, microchipping, tattooing, and licensing. Any cat or dog that is adopted from us gets a refund when you get them fixed.
NOTE: Most of our animals are strays so we really cannot tell you about their likes, dislikes, and history. We can only tell you what we have discovered while the animal is at the shelter.
