Come to one of the Animal Shelter's Thursday rabies vaccination and micro-chipping clinics, where rabies vaccinations are just $7 and micro-chipping costs $20 (including lifetime registration). Make your pet's appointment by calling 410-887-5961.
It's pet license renewal time! All dogs and cats in Baltimore County must be licensed annually. Proof of a current rabies vaccination is required. Get your license today!

Who We Are
The Baltimore County Animal Shelter is home to the Animal Control Division of the Baltimore County Department of Health. The Animal Control Division is the only humane law enforcement organization in Baltimore County.
The Animal Shelter is an open admission Animal Shelter and the only shelter in Baltimore County that is authorized to accept stray pets. No animal is ever turned away.
Baltimore County recognizes that losing a pet is a very traumatic experience. Sadly, many of the dogs and cats arriving at our shelter are not wearing any identification. The Animal Shelter urges pet owners to protect their pets with annual license tags. Consider micro-chipping as an additional form of identification. It is equally important that pet owners have all of their pets spayed or neutered.
Adopting a friend
Our pets are placed up for adoption the minute they arrive. Some pets are ready to go and some need to see the veterinarian before they go to their new homes. You may have to make more than one trip to get your new family member. The adoption fee is $60.00 for all pets. Our adoption hours are Monday through Saturday 10 am - 3 pm.

We are about 15 minutes north of Towson. Take exit 27B (Dulaney Valley Road) North off Interstate 695 in Towson. After crossing the Loch Raven Reservoir, bear off to your right to continue on Dulaney Valley Road. Follow the signs for Dulaney Valley Road until it dead ends at Manor Road. Make a left on Manor Road. You will find us in less than a mile on your left side at 13800 Manor Road.
