Disclaimer "We do not use Assess-A-Pet or any other extreme temperament tests on our dogs." We do not believe in what the program "Shelter Dogs" portrayed. We believe in Love , Kindness and most of all giving them a chance ! We asses our dogs by what we see in their eyes and look beyond the pain and fear that most of them have, We deal with tuff breeds that can not be assessed by a temperament test. Pushing a scared abused animal who doesn't know why it has lost their family or why they are in a rescue or a shelter is not the way to asses any animal. Some of the best dogs we have rehomed would of failed a test right from the start. You don't throw a whole life away just because it is banged up a little ! We do believe in second chances and go above and beyond to give each animal the love and time they need to mend. We also believe in homeopathy and treating animals in a natural more healthy way. We understand that some animals come to us with vaccination damage and we treat them with homeopathy methods to help them over come this. We have been involved with the Rottweiler breed for over 20 years and have NEVER had to put any down because of temperament. We have been involved with the Shar Pei breed for close to 5 years now and have had the same wonderful out come with them also.

All our pets are special so go and meet them all and see for yourself ! But Annie is in need of a home. She needs the love and attention a family can give her please see if she can be a part of your family. We are in need of someone who has time to help with the training of our rescue dogs. If you have anytime to donate please let us know.

News

Things are looking better now. We are all settled in . We will not be taking in the amount of dogs we use to but will be helping the ones we can. Potbellied Pigs are just a wonderful pet , if you have never given a snout kiss or a belly rub then you don't know what you are missing ! Once you love a pig your life changes for the better !

Who We Are

We are a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit org, we are registered with the State of Maryland to do fund raisers, Our rescue is for all animals but mostly the ones who are the least wanted, Our goal is to make them family safe and find good homes for them. The ones who we can not adopt out will live their life with us here at the rescue or in a foster home.

Adopting a friend

We have a rather strict adoption program, We feel that by rescuing these animals it is very important to find them good homes. We do not rescue them so they can go to a home worse then what we rescued them from. We have contracts and home checks. We also have a donation fee depending on the dog as to how much and this is tax deductable. Adopting a pet is a life time commitment, pets are not disposable. Also you may find that perhaps the grammer on this pet finder site isn't 100% up to par, But our main goal is to take care of the animals so we don't take as much time as we maybe should dotting all the i's and crossing all the t's. So please bare with us as the main goal here is the animals not how we write about them.
