Over
53 years ago, The Humane Society of Harford County, Inc. began from the
compassion of one individual. Mrs. Edward Voss found a need to house
pets that had once been owned. These pets were left to wander when
their families could no longer afford them, or moved or were transferred
out of the area during World War II. She temporarily housed the animals
at an abandoned farm. The following year, in 1948, the shelter found
a home at its current location on Connolly Road. More. |
