House of Puddles is a non-profit sanctuary for homeless senior basset hounds. We work with shelters and basset hound rescue groups to keep the old and unwanted hounds from having to live out their remaining lives in a shelter or being euthanized. We don't very often adopt the dogs out because they are usually too old or have health or behavioral issues. But now and then we get one that is still young and healthy enough to be a good candidate for adoption to someone seeking a mature dog.
