Mid Atlantic Scottish Terrier Education and Rescue
We are an IRS approved 501(c)3 non-profit charitable organization. Our president has been rescuing dogs for over 20 years and started MASTER in January 2014 to extend our charter. We are a no kill rescue group and we house all of our rescued pets until suitable homes are found. We see to all the medical needs of our rescues and all dogs are neutered or spayed before placement. We do not have a shelter. Our dogs are usually housed in our rescue coordinator's home until they our placed. Under special circumstances dogs are placed in foster homes.
Adopting a friend
If you are interested in adopting one of our dogs, please go to http://clubs.akc.org//stca, then click on the rescue section and fill out an on-line application. Once completed, have the application submitted to Jeanne Lishia, Rescue Coordinator for Mid Atlantic Scottish Terrier Education and Rescue (MASTER) and Maryland. Using the on-line form will ensure a prompt response to your request to adopt.
We place our rescues with families who most closely match the individual needs of the dogs. Adoption donations for our rescues vary depending upon the age and medical condition of the dog. Our adoption process includes speaking with veterinary or personal references and completing a home inspection for each applicant before a placement is completed.
If you would like to learn more about MASTER, our rescue and club activities, please visit and "like" our facebook page Mid Atlantic Scottish Terrier Education and Rescue-MASTER or visit our website: www.MASTERpup.org.
