We are currently in need of
foster families as well as adoptive families for the wonderful Saint Bernards in
our rescue program. Please ask for information about how you can help these
gentle giants. Our volunteers would be happy to talk with you. Ever thought
about a having Saint Bernard as a pet? Now is the time to get more information.
Not sure you want a dog this big? Maybe fostering is the way to go -- Try one on
for size and help him transition to a permanent home. Ask us for details. Love
the breed, but are not in a position to have one right now? We welcome your
financial support. ANY amount will help defray the extensive (and expensive)
veterinary care these dogs need. Or maybe you'd prefer being involved in other
ways. Please offer your talent and time. We promise to put it to good use! If
you buy your groceries at Food Lion grocery store you can help the dogs of
:Mid-Atlantic Saint Bernard Rescue (formerly St. Bernard Rescue of MD/VA/DC).
It's easy!!! Go to the Food Lion website (www.foodlion.com) and click on the
"Lion Shop and Share" link. Register your MVP card and a portion of what you'e
spent is donated to Saint Bernard Rescue. It's easy; it's painless; and there's
no added cost to you. When you get to the registration site, put in MARYLAND as
the state and BALTIMORE as the city. At the drop-down menu you will see Saint
Bernard Rescue of MD/VA/DC. That's us!!! What a great way to help these big
dogs!!! Tell your friends.
Who We Are
Mid-Atlantic Saint Bernard Rescue is affiliated with the
national Saint Bernard Rescue Foundation, a non-profit 501c3 organization
devoted to rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming abandoned or surrendered Saint
Bernards. The Saint Bernard Rescue Foundation is the ONLY group endorsed by the
Saint Bernard Club of America to conduct rescue activities on behalf of our
terrific breed. Dogs come into our program for all sorts of reasons: Owners
divorce. Or move and can't take their dog with them. Or the owner is ill or
dies. Or the kids have allergies. Or the owner just doesn't have time for the
dog. Sometimes a dog is picked up as a stray, with no identification and no way
to return him to his family. Additionally, we partner with area shelters who
turn to us for assistance when a Saint is surrendered to them. It doesn't matter
where the dog comes from. Or why. Our mission is to help them find forever
homes. They need our help. And we need yours.
