We are in the process of expanding our shelter to include dogs. We will be moving to a larger facility in the spring but there is so much need now so we have been taking a limited number of dogs who need rehoming. Please check Petfinder to see our available dogs.

We are finally seeing a slowdown of kitten season!!! It doesn't seem to have ended completely this year. A few more keep dribbling in each week. We also have a large selection of young and adult cats. When you adopt a young adult or adult, you can more clearly see the personality that you can expect from your cat. Our kittens are adopted out on a first come first serve basis, we do not take "holds" over the phone. We are reducing the adoption fee on our adults to $100 to hopefully help some of these nice cats find their furever homes! The adoption fee for kittens is $135 for one kitten and only $250 for two. This fee includes a physical by our vet, the spay/neuter surgery, the feline Aids/Feline Leukemia blood test, the first round of shots, the stool check for parasites, and preventative wormer, flea, and tick medication.

******FOR A LIMITED TIME ONLY****** Because Small Miracles Cat Rescue is a NO KILL shelter, we have a few residents who have been with us quite a long time. They are all wonderful cats who would do well in a loving home setting-a shelter is just not a good place for a cat to live long term. We have reduced the adoption price for them to only $75 to try to encourage their adoption. Also, a kind supporter has subsidized a few of them so their cost is only $50. We will be happy to introduce you to all of them if you come by the shelter. As required of all of our adoptable pets, all animals have already been spayed or neutered. They have had vet checks, vaccinations, wormers, flea treatments, etc.

Adopting a friend
Our Adoption procedure is a pretty painless process. If you see a kitty you like, come on in and fill out an application. Your application will be reviewed by a trained volunteer and as long as everything checks out, you'll be able to adopt the kitty. There are some forms to fill out and an adoption fee of $135 is required to cover cost of care and veterinary expenses, but then the kitty is yours. We do require that all our kitties are transported home in a pet carrier. Don't have one? Don't worry, we sell cardboard carriers for just $5.

We are located on Baltimore National Pike West near the Ellicott City Emergency Vet Clinic. If you haven't passed the Enchanted Forest Shopping Center you haven't gone far enough, but if you've passed Turf Valley Golf Resort you've gone too far. Still not sure? Please call us! You can also meet some of our adoptable feline friends at the Petco in Columbia, the Petco in Ellicott City, and the Today's Pet next to the Costco in Columbia.
Volunteers Needed
Taking care of our cats and dogs takes a lot of man hours. We are looking for cat and dog lovers who have a bit of time available to donate. Even an hour or two per week can help. We have openings at our Petco locations (cats need to be fed and cages maintained twice a day-it is only 4 cages and takes about an hour) as well as our shelter for cleaning, adoptions and dog walking.
