We are a home grown rescue located in the Maryland mountains near Harpers Ferry. Our mission is to provide a caring and safe environment for dogs until we can match them with a permanent loving family. We make sure all dogs are up to date on their vaccinations and spayed or neutered. We also treat them for fleas and heartworm.
Adopting a friend
Please contact us so that we can send you an application via email or snail mail. Once the application is complete and submitted, we will contact you to set up an appointment (Please try to bring the entire family for the visit, including other dogs). Then, contact us about your decision.
We require you to sign an adoption agreement. We care very much about these dogs and want you to feel free to contact us at any point in the future if you have questions after the adoption.
If for some reason the adoption does not work, our contract stipulates that the dog will be returned to Barbie's Haven. Similarly, in the future, if for any reason you are not able to keep the dog, such as transferring out of the country, divorce or other circumstances, the dog must be returned to Barbie's Haven.

Please remember that this is just a suggestion although we would like to cover our vet cost so we can help the next dog in need. Our main concern is that the dog gets a loving permanent home.
