HorseNet Horse Rescue
HorseNet Horse Rescue is a certified 501 (c)(3) nonprofit horse rescue and rehabilitation facility with two locations in Maryland. We DO NOT sell horses, but facilitate the rescue, rehabilitation and rehoming of those animals in our care. We do have some permanent residents, but strive to adopt out as many animals as possible to loving informed homes. We are 100% volunteer run and operate solely on donations. We specialize in the care of seniors and blind horses (click HERE to see some members of our blind herd), but will accept animals from any state from private owners to state animal control facilities in any condition.

HORSENET ADOPTION POLICIES
Please read everything in this section before going to our listings.
HorseNet does not sell horses, but rather adopts them out to suitable and approved homes. HorseNet horses cannot be resold, rehomed or bred and should the need arise and you are no longer able to care for these animals they must be returned to HorseNet (adoption fees will not be refunded). Potential adopters may test ride a horse twice before making a decision. An Adoption Application is required.
ADOPTION AREA: ONLY residents of Maryland or individuals that reside within 2.5 hours of the Mt Airy rescue are eligible to adopt from HorseNet - NO EXCEPTIONS. (click HERE to find out how far you are from our Mt Airy rescue)
SEEING A HORSE -- Horses are shown to prospective adopters by appointment only. Please do not show up at any of our farms without an appointment and/or unannounced. Trespassing on any HorseNet property is not allowed.
REMINDER -- Many of these horses are photographed and initially ridden in a western saddle (it is a light weight treeless that virtually fits all horses) it does not mean that they are "Western Horses".
