Animal Welfare League of Frederick County
Please come and see our many adoptable cats and kittens at the Petsmart on Urbana Pike in Frederick this weekend.
Please consider being a "Foster Parent". If you would like more information please email Mary Hiatt at mhiatt@gmail.com or call Donna Schadel at 240-409-7834. We also have a need for volunteers to assist in our TNR (Trap-Neuter-Release) program. Training is available. Spaying and neutering feral cats helps to curb cat overpopulation and it also improves the quality of their lives.

The Animal Welfare League of Frederick County is a non-profit, all volunteer organization. We promote the humane treatment of all animals through education, programs, advocacy, and collaboration with other humane organizations. AWLFC's goal is to work toward a future of no-more homeless pets.
Our adoption fee is $125.00. If you adopt a second kitten or cat at the same time the fee will be $200.00. We love to see two litter mates or a mom with one of her kittens go together. The fee includes FeLeuk/FIV testing, vaccinations, parasite control, and neutering. All applicants are required to fill out an application and contract and then will be interviewed to ensure a good match. This is the perfect time to ask questions and talk to the foster parent about the pet you are adopting.
We hold satellite adoptions at Petsmart in Frederick every Saturday from 11:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m. Please come and see our wonderful cats and kittens.
