How You Can Help
Shop online? Donate to the refuge rabbits at the same time on iGive. Everytime you buy through one of over 600 stores on iGive, that retailer will donate a percentage of your purchase to SIRR. Go to www.igive.com and register today.
Recycle for rabbits. Donate your gently-used towels, animal carriers, and plastic totes.
Cleanliness is next to bunnliness. The refuge can always use cleaning supplies such as paper towels, 1.1 mil trash bags, bleach, bleach cleaner, and white vinegar. Donations tax-deductible. Call or email us to donate.
Sponsor a Sanctuary Bunny
Hey, Honey! Sponsor a bunny! for $20 a month for as many months as you like. Sponsors will receive a certificate and photograph of the bunny you choose. Foster a Refuge Rabbit
SIRR is looking for quality indoor foster homes for refuge rabbits. Housing, food, litter, and medical care provided. Interview and home visit required. Please contact us for more information.
Volunteers Needed
If you have some time, we could use your help. SIRR is looking for volunteers to help design our website, write grants, raise funds, and promote the rescue. Sometime during summer 2008, we'll be recruiting volunteers to assist with care and socialization of the refuge rabbits. Email us if you'd like to help out.
Who We Are
Solomon's Island Rabbit Refuge, Inc., is a 501 (c)(3) tax-exempt organization that provides sanctuary to companion rabbits. We will attempt to place rabbits in quality indoor homes where they can spend joyful and comfortable lives with an adoptive family. Those bunnies who do not find new homes are welcome to spend the duration of their lives at the sanctuary. Solomon's Island Rabbit Refuge also educates the public about the care of and living with an indoor companion rabbit.
Adopting a friend
Has one of our bunnies caught your eye? Looking for a buddy for your bunny? Adoption process includes an interview and possibly a home visit. Adoption donations as of May 2006 are $70 for a neutered male, $80 for a spayed female, and $140 for a bonded pair. All animals are altered prior to adoption. To meet one of the refuge rabbits, please fill out our online adoption application.
