Who We Are
Romie Cat Rescue is not a shelter, but is a small rescue providing care for two feral cat colonies in Harford County, Maryland. Feral colonies are managed through TNR (Trap, Neuter, Return). The cats are provided with food and shelter and receive future veterinary care when needed. Friendly and shy stray cats and kittens are rescued, given medical care, socialized if necessary and put up for adoption. Foster cats are cared for in a home environment until loving homes are found.
Adopting a friend
Please contact us for an adoption application. Adoption donation of $75 per cat or kitten helps to offset veterinary care. All cats and kittens have been spayed/neutered, vaccinated, tested for FELV and FIV, wormed and treated for fleas.
Some of the cats on our page have been previously abused by humans or were rescued as older feral kittens. They have been socialized to get them to trust humans. Many times it is difficult to adopt these cats because they are shy when meeting new people. These lovely cats will just need a brief period of time to acclimate to a new home and to their new humans.
