P>Animal Umbrella's ADOPTION HOURS at our Street Cats Shelter new location will be Sat. from 3pm to 5pm, but please email us as info@animalumbrella.org or call in advance to confirm appointments as well: 508-877-1194. All cats for adoption are spayed/neutered, combo tested for FIV/FELV and up to dat e with rabies and distemper shots. Veterinary records are provided at the time of adoption.
Who We Are
Founded in 1985, Animal Umbrella is a non-profit volunteer no-kill organization dedicated to the rescue, care and adoption of abandoned cats and kittens. We were the first to introduce trap/spay and release of feral cat colonies in Massachusetts and have a large and successful feral cat socialization and adoption program. We also believe in rehabilitation and not destruction and so we try to find special homes for the "highly unadoptable" cats/kittens due to handicap, injury, age, behavior, feral status (after being socialized in our shelter or foster home network)FIV or FELV status. We also promote and provide a low cost spay/neuter program for low income pet owners.
Adopting a friend
We have many many more loving and beautiful cats and kittens available than we can list on this site. Our Shelter in Revere is open for adoptions on Sat. afternoons from 3-5pm. You can also call for an appointment on other days at 617-731-7267. All cats/kittens for adoption are already tested, vaccinated and spayed/neutered. A non profit adoption fee is required.
