Kitty Connection has many wonderful adult cats available. With kitten season here, these wonderful cats will be overlooked for little kittens. Please consider adopting an adult cat. Adult cats tend to be more relaxed and laid back and come completely vaccinated (where kittens typically need 2-3 more rounds of vaccinations at the vets after adoption). Kitty Connection's Wish List
Many people are unable to foster a cat, but would still love to help in some way. We always have cats that have veterinary needs such as spay/neuter and medication. Food and litter alone can gobble up our funds in no time.
Since we are all volunteers and rely entirely on adoption fees and donations, we sometimes have to turn away cats simply because there are not enough funds to cover their expenses. Any donation is appreciated, whether it be $5 or $10 and will go a long way in helping our cats! We are a 501(C)(3) non-profit organization, and therefore all donations are tax deductible.
Here is our 'Wish List', if you would like to make a donation:

Looking for Low Cost Spay/Neuter for Your Cat?
Kitty Connection firmly believes that Spay/Neuter is the only way to combat the pet overpopulation epidemic, which results in the euthanasia of MILLIONS of cats and kittens each and every year.
If you have an unspayed/neuterd cat, please have he or she fixed. The tremendous pet overpopulation problem leads to 71% of cats that enter kill shelters to be euthanized! Once your cat is spayed/neutered, he or she will also be happier and spayed/neutered cats tend to live longer, healthier lives.
Kitty Connection offers low cost spay/neuter certificates for use at a local vet. Contact us for more details.
Also, the Merrimack River Feline Rescue Society’s Catmobile is a mobile spay/neuter clinic designed specifically for cats. The package includes spay/neuter, microchipping, rabies vaccination, distemper vaccination, flea treatment, deworming and an exam. The Catmobile is staffed by a veterinarian and two technicians and can assist 40 cats a day. The Catmobile covers the North Shore, Merrimack River Valley and Boston areas. The cost for the package is $75 for male cats and $100 for female cats.
To book an appointment call 1-888-495-7729(SPAY) between 10am-4pm Monday-Friday or email spaymass@mrfrs.org.
According to the Petfinder.com Foundation, it costs an average of $180 to provide care for a pet while he or she waits for a home. If you are looking at the cat's available on our Petfinder website and would like to sponsor one, please click on the upper right hand 'Sponsor Me' button.
By sponsoring one of our cats, you will help pay for the cats care (food, litter, medical expenses) until the cat gets adopted into his/her forever home. You will be one of the cat's 'Guardian Angels'. Any donation amount is appreciated, so please consider sponsoring one of our cats today!
Who We Are
Kitty Connection is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit, no-kill rescue organization dedicated to placing abandoned and surrendered animals into loving, forever homes. We network with local animal control, other shelters (including shelters that euthanize animals), and personal surrenders. We are made up of volunteers who foster out of our homes. Fostering keeps costs down while allowing us to better understand each of our animal's unique personalities and needs.
Adopting a friend
Adopting an animal is a lifelong commitment and is a truly rewarding experience. If you rent, landlord's permission is required. If you own your home, please provide proof of ownership via taxes or water bill. Per our adoption agreement, you must agree to not declaw, or let the cat outside. This helps ensure the overall health and happiness of the cat and will keep the cat safe from the dangers of the outdoors (cars, wildlife, malicious people, ect).
If you are adopting a dog, you must agree to crate train the dog. If the adopted cat/dog does not work out, you must agree to return him/her to Kitty Connection to be re-homed. This prevents the pet from ending up in a kill shelter.
Above all else, it is essential that any person adopting a pet has a love and understanding for the animal being adopted. All of our animals were previously unwanted and deserve to have a chance of forever happiness. That is our goal and main objective! Happy, healthy pets and happy pet owners.
