Who are we

NEAR is a non-profit, 501 (c)(3) tax exempt organization. We operate the only non-profit Veterinary organization on the South Shore of Massachusetts. Our true purpose is healthy pets and animals by providing affordable veterinary services. Our expanded mission is to help homeless animals find loving homes. We support feral colonies by providing necessary vet care, including spaying/neutering . We have successfully provided vet services for TNR (trap, neuter and return) of various feral cat colonies on the South Shore. Our activities will increase as we continue to build our network of caring, hardworking, volunteers .

We do not operate a shelter and all our work is performed mainly through foster care. We are always working to grow our network by expanding to new areas and enlisting the assistance of animal lovers we meet in the course of our daily lives. They are the support structure that enables us to consistently advance our mission for pet health and to rehome animals with new forever humans.
