Description
The Purr-fect Cat Shelter (PCS) is a non-profit, no-kill, all-volunteer organization. It was established to provide temporary shelter and care for cats, with the ultimate goal of finding permanent homes for each cat. Cats accepted into the shelter stay as long as it is necessary. No cat will be destroyed because it has run out of time to find a home.

All Cats and Kittens placed by PCS are:

Spayed or neutered prior to placement
Examined by a veterinarian
Tested for Feline Leukemia and FIV
Dewormed
Vaccinated for Feline Distemper
Vaccinated for Rabies (if old enough)
Microchipped

Please complete the
adoption form and return it to the address listed.

An adoption counselor will contact you after receipt of the completed application to guide you through the adoption process. Please note, if you subscribe to telephone line blocking which prevents people from calling you without displaying their phone number you will not be able to receive a call from the PCS volunteer. If so, please leave an alternative means of contacting you such as an email address or work phone number, including the best time to reach you.

Fees
The adoption fee is $125 which covers a portion of the services that are provided for each animal.

Volunteer Program
Various opportunities exist to volunteer with a great group of individuals. Becoming a Foster Care Provider, answering the Shelter Message Center calls, working with the cats at the facility, working on a fund-raiser or staffing the PCS booth at an event are just a few of the ways you can help. You can print out and mail the following form for more information.

Foster Homes
Support PCS in the comfort of your own home! PCS is looking for cat lovers to become foster parents. The Foster Care Program provides additional cage space beyond that available in the shelter. Cats needing socialization, pregnant or nursing cats and their kittens are some of the candidates for foster care.

If you have the space in your home for a Cat Condo or a spare room to house a PCS cat and can provide the daily attention needed, this program is for you! Enjoy the fulfillment of being a foster care parent at your own pace! Visit
